GETTING TO LANEWAY
Southport Sharks is located on the Gold Coast, and is a 45-minute drive from Coolangatta Airport.
The entrance to the festival is near the corner of Village Bvd and Hill St, through the 'Village Heart' Park.
Train
There is a direct train line from Brisbane to Helensvale and takes approximately 60 minutes. The Helensvale train station is 8.5km from the festival entrance, jump on any Light Rail service heading southbound from Helensvale Station and hop off at Griffith University Station. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the festival entrance. Visit the TransLink website to plan your journey.
Light Rail
The closest light rail + bus stop is Griffith University Station, approximately 5 minutes walk from the festival entrance. Visit the TransLink website to plan your journey.
Light rail - extra services
Light rail is the easiest way to get to this event. We've added a number of extra shuttling services between the event and Helensvale station at the end of the night to help get you home.
Rideshare

Parking
There is no dedicated festival parking, we recommend public transport to get to the event.
Please adhere to all street parking restrictions and don’t park on private property! There are several Park N Ride stations that are nearby, just hop on a Light Rail from there:
Helensvale Station (North)
Carey Park, Southport (East)
Cypress Ave, Surfers Paradise (South)

START & FINISH TIMES
Gates open at 12pm with the event finishing at 10pm.
Please note that entry gates will close approximately 30 minutes after Chappell Roan starts her performance.
PASS OUTS
There are no pass outs. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music, to keep going all day.

WET WEATHER
Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.
WHAT TO BRING
Required for festival entry:
✔ A valid ticket (on your phone)
✔ Valid Photo ID - check ID Requirements for accepted forms of ID
Recommended to bring:
✔ Empty soft water bottle
✔ Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen - be sun smart!
✔ Credit/debit card/phone wallet - we're cashless!
✔ A bag - no larger than an A4 piece of paper!
LOST PROPERTY
Found: Please take any found items to the Info Tent during event hours on Sunday 8th (9am–2pm), located at the Festival Box Office (front entry).
Lost: Please visit the Info Tent during event hours for assistance. Any unclaimed items will be handed to Southport Sharks for collection from Monday 9th.
YOUTH INFORMATION
Laneway Festival is 16+ in all Australian cities. Please read through the Youth Policy for your city (as this varies in each city) to ensure you have all the accurate information ahead of purchasing a ticket and attending the festival. This includes requirements on Valid Photo ID in order to enter the event.

GENERAL TIPS
• Check the weather and wear clothes to suit - Laneway is outdoors (with some covered areas available).
• Familiarise yourself with the banned items list before arriving.
• Plan your transport ahead of time and allow extra time for entry during peak periods.
• Download your ticket , and the playing times and site map in advance (or the app!)
• Look after each other - medical, crowd care, and low sensory spaces are available on each site (see site map for details).
COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Laneway is about great music, shared moments, and looking out for one another. We’re committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to enjoy the day.
That means we have a zero-tolerance approach to behaviour that puts others at risk or makes them feel uncomfortable. Bullying, fighting, unwanted physical contact, throwing items, or verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
Our security, medical, and crowd care teams are on site throughout the day, with increased focus in high-energy areas such as mosh pits, to help ensure everyone can enjoy the festival safely.
BANNED ITEMS
The following items are prohibited:
- ✘ Glass or breakable containers (makeup in glass bottles, mirrors and perfumes).
- ✘ Cans or metal canisters including metal water bottles and aerosols
- ✘ Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles
- ✘ Milk or bread crates or metal cans or containers
- ✘ Chairs (folding, portable, camping) or any other furniture
- ✘ Clothing with sharp studs or accessories that could cause injury to patrons (i.e. belts, wristbands, long chains).
- ✘ Club patches and jackets
- ✘ Weapons of any kind (including potential missiles)
- ✘ Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, or any other explosive device.
- ✘ Alcohol
- ✘ Illicit drugs or paraphernalia including nangs, bongs or pipes.
- ✘ Vapes & E-Cigs with more than 110mL liquid (please note the venue may have specific smoking regulations and areas)
- ✘ Sound or video recorders or professional cameras (with removable lens) (small still cameras are allowed)
- ✘ Laser lights or laser pens
- ✘ Umbrellas (bring a plastic poncho or raincoat instead)
- ✘ Water pistols
- ✘ Dogs or other pets (service dogs excepted)
- ✘ Fires and open flames of any kind
- ✘ Sound Systems
- ✘ Eskies, coolers or chilly bins
- ✘ Culturally insensitive items
- ✘ Drones or other remote control devices.
- ✘ Register rolls, shredded paper, confetti or other item likely to cause an environmental issue.
- ✘ Other items as determined by Laneway Festival, that do or can potentially cause injury or public nuisance.
CAMERAS & RECORDING DEVICES
No professional cameras (cameras with detachable lenses) are permitted without formal media accreditation. Likewise no audio or film recording equipment can be brought into the Festival. Please note, small digital cameras and handycams for personal use are allowed.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION
You can bring prescription medication into the event, BUT the medication needs to be in its original packaging with the dispensary label matching the name on the ID of the ticket holder. Only bring the amount of medication you need for the duration of the event. If you would like to store your medication with our medical team, please advise a Laneway staff member upon entry and we will be able to direct you. Please note that your bag will still be searched by security prior to entering the festival. Over-the-counter medication for personal use (e.g., Panadol, Nurofen) is allowed at the festival.
VOLUNTEERING
Laneway Gold Coast volunteer applications are now closed.
LEAVING THE VENUE AFTER THE SHOW
When the music wraps up, please allow a little extra time to exit the site, as a lot of people will be heading home at the same time. Follow staff directions, make a plan for how to get home ahead of time, and please be mindful of our neighbours - we appreciate your patience and respect.
