Greatsouth

Greatsouth blends raw guitar-driven indie rock with traditional taonga pūoro and field recordings to explore ancestry, identity and resistance, grounded within te ao Māori and life in urban Papakura. Greatsouth's album Hellhole of the Pacific was released in early 2026, blending indie, narrative-first production with alt-rock sensibilities to craft a sound that is uniquely his — and we can't wait to hear that sound at Laneway Auckland 2027.
