Public Transport is included in your event tickets!  

All Perth Laneway Festival tickets include public transport for all Transperth services for three hours before, during and after the event until end of service.  
Information regarding the special event transport services can be obtained by contacting the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 or by visiting the Transperth website at www.transperth.wa.gov.au  

Festival Ticket Holders do not need to pay for any Transperth services within these times.  

Simply have your event ticket available to show Transperth staff.  

Transperth services  

Catch the train to Claisebrook Station and take the short walk to the Festival Entrance, follow event signage when you exit the station to enter the festival on Wittenoom Street.  

Bike  

Bike parking is available outside the festival entrance, BYO bike lock.  

Road / car park closures and traffic management  

The following roads will be closed for the event from 10am Sunday 11 February, to be restored 12am Monday 12 February.

• The CPP Royal Street Car Park (east end from Lime Street) will be used exclusively for the event from 6am on Sunday 11 February until 12am on Monday 12 February.  

Taxi & Ride Share Drop Off  

There will be a pick up and drop off facility for Taxi and Ride Share located at CPP Royal Street, access off Royal Street.  

Please follow the signs and directions of Traffic Controllers and Event Marshals at all times.

What is the entry process for Youth Ticket Holders and Responsible Adults?

PRE-EVENT

Youth and Responsible Adults MUST ensure the Responsible Adult is registered using the Guardian Registration Form prior to arriving at the festival. The Guardian Registration Form can be found here.

All Responsible Adults must have a valid festival ticket and be 25 years or older.

Registrations close at 5pm Saturday 10 February.

AT THE FESTIVAL GATES

All Youth and Responsible Adults MUST enter the event together by first visiting the YOUTH 16+ & RESPONSIBLE ADULT REGISTRATION tent. Please ensure you have your ID & Tickets ready.

Will Pass Outs be available on the day?

Pass Outs refer to leaving the festival throughout the day, then returning at a later time. There are NO Pass Outs on the day. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music to keep going all day.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.

Can I bring my own food & alcohol into the festival?

No. Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival. If you have specific food allergies or medical requirements, please complete the accessibility request Form.

Please note that we are cashless, so please bring Eftpos or Credit Card.

Where do I report any lost or found articles?

Found: Please take any found items to the Info Point.

Lost: If you misplace something please check with Info Point staff on the day as things will be turned in there. Alternatively, please fill out our lost property form (available here on 11 February 2024) and we will do our very best to help you.

  • There are plenty of free drinking water stations throughout the site – you can bring a clear, empty water bottle (that is not metal!) to fill up and stay hydrated throughout the day.
  • We have plenty of different food options available to cater for Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free, and dairy-free – please get in touch with us if you have specific dietary queries.
What items are banned from site?

The following items are prohibited:

✘ Alcohol - any alcohol found at the Event Site will be confiscated and will not be returned and the offending patron(s) ejected from Event Site for the remainder of the Event.
✘ Glass or breakable containers (jars, bottles, containers, mirrors and perfumes).
✘ Air horns.
✘ Weapons or explosives of any kind (including potential missiles).
✘ Illegal substances or paraphernalia
✘ Nitrous oxide bulbs and canisters.
✘ Flares, fireworks, sparklers, explosives or any fire twirling equipment.
✘ Fires and open flames.
✘ Vapes & E-Cigs with more than 110mL liquid (please note the venue may have specific smoking regulations and areas)
✘ Instruments.
✘ Advanced personal vaporizers (or modified APVs) or liquid refills for E-Cigs.
✘ Sound systems.
✘ Portable laser equipment and pens.
✘ Sharpies, markers, paint cans or paint pens.
✘ Drones or other remote control devices.
✘ Couches and chairs.
✘ Anything studded (ie belts, wristbands etc).
✘ Audio or video recording devices (including GoPro and similar).
✘ Professional photography equipment (eg telephoto lenses; any lens over 20cm; any detachable lens; stands or other commercial equipment or anything deemed by Event staff to be professional photography equipment).
✘ Kites or sky lanterns.
✘ Toy guns, water guns or slingshots.
✘ Monopods, tripods or attachment sticks (selfie-sticks).
✘ Skateboards, scooters, wagons, carts, rollerblades, roller skates, bicycles, quad-bikes, segways, hoverboards, self-balancing scooters or any personal motorised vehicles.
✘ Animals (excluding service dogs such as guide dogs and police or emergency service dogs).
✘ Unauthorised solicitation materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, beach balls, give-aways, samples, or other promotional items.
✘ Any other item deemed by Event staff (in their discretion) to be dangerous or offensive or potentially dangerous by Event organisers.
✘ Eskies and coolers.
✘ Umbrellas.
✘ Cans or metal containers, including aerosols.
✘ Flags of any size
✘ Register rolls, shredded paper, confetti or other items likely to cause an environmental issue.
✘ Commercial food purchased from external caterers, unless permitted by the Event organiser.

What kind of cameras & recording devices can I bring with me?

No professional cameras (read: cameras with detachable lenses) are permitted without formal media accreditation. Likewise no audio or film recording equipment can be brought into the Festival.

Can I bring my prescription medication to the festival?

Yes, BUT the medication needs to be in its original packaging with the dispensary label matching the name on the ID of the ticket holder.

Wellington Square will be completely closed for the event at 9pm on Saturday 10 February.  

Bump in and out activity will take place from Monday 5 February to Wednesday 14 February.

During the bump in and out period the Stolen Generation Memorial, and the playground and community areas on the Wellington Street side of the park will remain open to the public.

Noise Management:

Noise levels from the concert have been determined in accordance with guidelines established by the Department of Environmental Protection for events of this type. We will adhere to the approved Noise Management Plan for the event and requirements for safety and security. Stage and speaker layouts are designed to obtain maximum screening from buildings and topography. Noise levels during the event will be continuously monitored both inside and outside the venue.  Sounds systems will be adjusted wherever practicable to reduce noise emissions.
