Formed in Naarm/Melbourne in 2018, indie-rock band Floodlights - Louis Parsons (vocals, guitar, grand piano), Ashlee Kehoe (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Joe Draffen (bass), Archie Shannon (drums, percussion) and Sarah Hellyer (vocalist, trumpeter, pianist) - have built a loyal following based on powerful lyrics, impressive musicianship, and a compelling stage presence which constantly pushes the edges of their sound. There’s an intimacy between them that allows storytelling to flow naturally, holding audiences close in quietened moments and giving them a soundtrack to run wild the next. If you’re a Melbournian, you no doubt heard of this band after their outstanding performance at last year’s Meredith Music Festival. In 2024 we welcome them to the Laneway Festival stage in Melbourne.
